A few weeks ago my nana got me the Logo Board Game. It is a big game all involved in logos useed in NZ. There are cards with 1/4 of the actual log and you have to guess what the brand is and other stuff about what the logo is put on and just random questions also. It is a lot of fun (but quite hard!) here are some questions that they ask. Leave in the comments the answers to these questions
POT LUCK QUESTIONS:
1.)Which logo is comprised of 5 coloured rings?
2.)What would you get if you ordered a ShakeNdog at wendy's Super Sundaes?
3.)What does the abbreviation IBM stand for?
4.)Which Japanese digital camera brand is named after Kwanon, The buddhist goddess of mercy?

Olympic

International business machines
Cannon
Madaline
ReplyDeleteTrying not to copy off Mr Spices answer. The Olympic logo consists of five coloured rings. I have never had Wendys before so I will have to agree with his answer. IBM does stand for International Business Machine, I am not sure about Cannon as the answer. I think it is Fuji Quicksnap.
Mr Webb
Mr Webb the question posed is not quite correct. The goddess of mercy is not from traditional Buddhism in a sense, but based on shinto Buddhism. Shin means 'gods' or 'spirits' and to means 'to do'. This is a variation of Buddhism is based on Chinese scripture and is followed exclusively in Japan. So, Shinto Buddhists are mainly concerned with religious actions and rites rather than teachings and mantras, but the original foundation of Buddhism is the words and preachings of Buddha. Traditional buddhism concentrates on a pure life that leads to salvation from an endless cycle of rebirth.

Mt Fuji is also a famous cone shaped volcano in Japan, very similar to Mt Taranaki.
