Game Gone Wrong

Have you ever wasted a fortune on something you thought would last but it didn't?
''Go Te Kiri!''I yelled supportively. Standing up in the stands screaming like there was no tomorrow. Arched back, Stick on the ground everybodies eyes were focused on one thing. The white, gleaming ball. Waiting for the the whistle. The endless wait was building up tension all around. Everybody was claiming energy to burn. It is time. BRING ON THE THUNDER!

Everyone jumped into action. Spirit fulled the air full of joy and happiness. Legs turned into a blur.  Leaning forward everyone wad trying to claim the ball. Cheerleaders on the sideline (who were my brother and friends) cheered them on.Edging closer to the goal Te Kiri was fire lighting up the turf.

Accelerating into the circle edging closer and closer. Hawera was firmly behind trying to catch Te Kiri. Nerves were looming in the area.  They are almost there. Dad found space through the swarm of defence and smacked it into the corner of the goal.

CRACK! The sickening sound rang out loudly. The goalie gear suffocated dads stick. The deafening noise poisoned my ears. Shards and cracks stuck out of the handle that was no longer connected. ''There goes a lot of money for a new one'' Dad said halve-hearted. At least he got the goal in I thought.

It will only cost $500 for a new one right?!
