Our trip to palmerston north

Last Saturday My mum and dad needed to go to a wedding in Palmerston north so we tagged along. We were with our cousin. In the afternoon we went into the square and went to the festival of cultures. We got a henna on our hand and it looked very cool. Afterwards we took her 2 dogs hazel and Ziggy for a walk by the river. They loved it but when they hopped back in the car they were still very wet! At night when it was dark, we traveled back to the square to see the clock tower lights. After seven they turn on some lights inside the clock tower and it changes colour every minute. It was a true masterpiece and I enjoyed it very much. We also went to a shop and I got my own henna cream so I can make my own! I made a kizoa of the pictures of our adventures in Palmerston north.

It is time!!

My nerves were uncontrollable. My stomach doubled over as I walked along the path of pressure . Drips of sweat traveled down my face onto the cold concrete . With the weight of victory on my shoulders I could hardly walk. My chest moved in and out slowly as I took in breath after breath of chlorine air. The world froze around me. It. Was. Time.

The last cheer was heard. My legs lunged of from the raised platform, bounding me into the air. My whole figure was arched straight towards the rippling surface of the water. Diving into the waves my whole body was pushed into hyper drive. My legs were kicking furiously making splashes of water fly up into the air . My arms were windmills pushing the water behind me. Everyone was now catching and my chances of winning was now slim.

I wasn't going to give up but my energy tank was slowly losing fuel. My body began to break down. Before I knew it there was someone motoring past me. There was no more power left in me but I wasn't going to let that girl claim the victory. The end of the pool was now visible. The last ounce of energy slipped out of me and now I was trailing behind the leader. With only a few meters left to swim I thought worriedly "Am I going to make it?"

Taking my last stroke my arm thrashed against the hard wall. Lifting my head up out of the water, I waited there a age, waiting for my results. The guy with the results came over. My heart started will I get into the finals? I was handed a blue stick! "YAY!" I whooped happily.

My nerves were controllable because I was so close to victory. Now its finals time. Am going to win?

Book of the week

This weeks book of the week goes to: Authur and the invisibles
Here a blurb of the story:

Ten-year-old Arthur must find a way to keep the home of his beloved grandmother from being destroyed by a developer with other plans. Remembering his grandfather's story of a treasure, he enters the world of tiny beings who live in perfect harmony with nature. Together with Princess Selenia and her young brother, Betameche, Arthur goes in search of the treasure and -- along the way -- discovers that his long-absent grandfather may not be missing after all.

This is truly a funny book and I would love all of you to try it. 4/5 stars.

A new beginning

Slamming the door behind me as wind blows my facials to a blur. A skip in my step as I keep wondering Its going to be new beginnings, new opportunities and the best of all a new year. Soon the clock will strike a new year. 2015.

Anticipation was in the air as every breath taken was a gasp of excitement. A life breaking situation was about to commence. As my watch clicked over to 11.59pm my heart skipped a beat. In less than 60 seconds everything was going to change. Pausing staring at the time every second made my body tingle with excitement. The new year was looming with little time to go 15 seconds to go.

Now transfixed on the watch, not wanting to miss a second. 10 seconds to go. Everything began silent as 2014 was the past and 2015 would become the reality. 5 seconds to go. The countdown had begun. Holding my breath in my chest as the clock struck 5.....4.....3.....2......1........

The celebrations began as I cheered with joy. It was now 2015. Everything in 2014 was now in the past. I was apart of a fresh dawn that had just begun. The moment marked my heart and I will always remember this special second and will treasure the moment forever.

Walking back into the house with a skip in my step once more, I was now apart of the new beginning!
Hope everyone had a new year!!!

This book of the week goes to: My sister Jodie, By Jaqueline Wilson. Here is a little blurb about it:

Pearl and Jodie are sisters. Pearl is younger small shy and anxious,Jodie is nearly 3 years older, bold
and brash and bad and pearl adores her.

When there parents get new jobs at the posh Melchester College the girls are suddenly thrust into a new life. In there new home things seem different. Jodie has always been the leader but now its Pearl making new friends. Jodie doesn't fit in with the snooty teenagers in her class and just seems to be getting into more and more trouble...

Maybe Pearl doesn't need Jodie as much as she use to but Jodie needs her. And when the fireworks night comes around and a tragic even occurs, Pearl realizes quite how much she needs her big sister.

I give this book 3 and a 1/2 stars. I suggest you check out this book. I promise you it is a book that you will treasure forever.

The dragons den

Here is my new pick a path I made. How you play is you read the little summary and you have 2 decisions. One will lead you to death and the other will let you survive and the paths will eventually lead you to completing the pick a path. Good Luck!

Blog Diary

17/12/2014

Yay! it is our school concert tomorrow and I can't wait. My class room has the decade of 1970 so we are doing many famous names that you might of heard as such as: Forest Gump, The 6 million dollar man, Bruce Lee and much much more. It is a play I am going to never forget. On Monday was prize giving and I excelled! I managed to achieve merit in reading, merit in writing and got to receive a very special cup called the Bloor Cup. It is given to people for using digital creativity. Lexi and I won it for our MOA award animation that sadly just missed out on the supreme award so it has been a very successful week and has been one of the best weeks I have had in a long time.
